Review of ‘Sextortion’ and Scams by Kate Murphy

We really liked an article published last year in The New York Times by Kate Murphy called “In Online Dating, ‘Sextortion’ and Scams.” She does a great job of outlining some of the major scams that threaten online daters and, more importantly, why we fall victim to them. She dives in, offering feedback from experts in clinical psychology and neurology, and then lets us know what the FBI and other organizations are doing to protect us and limit scams in the dating space.
